Democrats should push for Universal Adult Franchise

Every citizen should be allowed to vote.

1) Everyone with or without ID should be allowed to vote. Unless the Government takes it upon itself to guarantee that every citizen has a voter ID card - free of charge or hassle.

2) Everyone with a state or federal felony history should be allowed to vote.

3) Prisoners should be allowed to vote in Prisons.

4) The sick/infirm should be allowed to vote by mail without having to plan for it.

NO EXCEPTIONS. Fuck states rights. Citizen's right TRUMP state's rights. If anyone violated the law - its because we have failed them more often than they have failed us. They deserve a say in our politics.

We need to whip this up into a unifying issue for all Democrats and turn it a huge stick to beat the repukes with.

I'm sorry Bill Cosby, I have failed you.

ETA I believe that felons should be able to vote but let's not pretend there is no personal agency here.

So go ahead, ignore it and pile on the exceptions.

Thank you very much.
