Adam Schiff on with Andrea Mitchell, speaking of

how debasing political talk has become and that there has been escalation in numbers of death threats against members of Congress.

We've seen it in campaigns, at rallies, at protests, and even Eric Trump's comments intended to dehumanize those opposing his father. The rhetoric has everything to do with "giving permission" for violent people to act out.

BTW, It is not a "tragedy" when a speeding car hits another car, it is a mathematical inevitability, right? It is not a "tragedy" when one of 400 million guns in America is used to shoot someone, it is a mathematical probability. The RESULTS can be called tragic, not the event.

I heard this point being made on Stephanie this morning, makes sense.

It was like, "These things are going to happen" crap. Well, yeah, if we allow our politicians to advocate hurting and violating other citizens who disagree, and then we arm them like they are an army of one, eventually it will happen.
