MRC's Graham Sneers At Rachel Maddow's Looks

In the wake of the shootings in Virginia, there's been a lot of talk about civility in the political sphere. Media Research Center director of media analysis Tim Graham's response: hold my beer.
Graham takes an unnecessary, gratuitious and mean-spirited shot at Rachel Maddow's looks in a June 14 post attacking her interview with Rolling Stone:
For her part, Maddow proclaims she is a “cheerleader for the American media,"an interesting choice of words since she tries very hard not to appear feminine.
What is the purpose of saying such a thing, Tim? What does that add to the conversation? Why do you think you should be taken seriously as a media critic when you're so eager to denigrate someone simply for refusing to conform to your idea of femininity? And as a chubby white guy, Graham hardly has any room to complain about the looks of other people.
Indeed, there's no reason to read the rest of Graham's critique, especially after his first attack on her was the above line, which appeared in the second paragraph. (Not that was anything different than Graham's usual anti-media blather, of course.)
Graham exemplifies the arrogance of the right-wing media -- he doesn't believe he should hold himself to the same standards he insists on imposing on the "liberal media." He has no principles, only a partisan agenda that he tries to enforce through intimidation and not reason.
Hate and thuggishness does not make for a principled organization. Graham hasn't figured that out yet.

who thinks he has the right to judge any woman's looks? Like Jabba the Trump giving Miss Universe a hard time for being "fat."
I love a woman with short, stylish hair, that "sassy" look, who's well spoken and intelligent as all get out. NOT to objectify Ms. Maddow, but you all know what I mean. She's a hottie! 
And all apologies to every Chinese person on the planet, but her "attacker", who will never have a date with a woman 1/100th as attractive and intelligent as Rachel, has more "chins" than a Beijing phone book. People in glass houses.........and all that.

Chen is one of the most common names in Mainland China.., although not as common as Kim in South Korea.

"Cheerleaders" are not exclusively female nor feminine. I venture anyone of them can conjure up more testosterone in their pinky than he's had in his puffy body at any given time.
Not that that has anything to do with what Rachel meant since he totally took one word of what she said and created a double ad-hominem attack, but who's he to decide who looks masculine or feminine? Seriously.
Nothing says masculine like floppy jowls and more than one chin.
Rachel Maddow has disparaged her own looks numerous times on her program, describing herself as "mannish" and "unfeminine", and explaining that her nightly appearance in black and charcoal ("German rainbow"
jackets with similar plain shirtfront is part of her own strategy to keep the viewer's focus on the news itself. So I imagine that she isn't much hurt by Graham's remark .... perhaps it even cheers her that strategy is succeeding.
That notwithstanding, I think Rachel Maddow is very good looking, in a way that even deliberate de-feminizing cannot conceal. I harbor a daydream in which she shifts her lifelong gears and somehow takes a reciprocal interest in me.
He still has the hots for Madge. Just like dear old Dad.
He's an idiot, Rachel is a beautiful woman.
