(47,260 posts)So Don Siegelman is forbidden to talk to the press? I guess that would explain why I haven't heard much about him lately. What the right has done to that poor man is outrageous and cruel.

(7,786 posts)for a period of time, which I think is six months. So, he's not yet a free man. But that day will come. And I think he's a stunning example of political prosecution in this country. The criminal justice system has been used for political purposes in his case. The civil justice system, and the office of the special prosecutor, and the FBI, have all been used to make political life difficult for both Bill and Hillary Clinton. Not to mention cost them alot of money.

(47,260 posts)it was not a particularly well kept secret. I remember when Seigelman was actually on 60 Minutes and still nothing was done. The assholes ruined a man's life for political purposes and they go Scott free, some even get their own TV gig. Some days, it feels like corruption is the norm.

(7,786 posts)and has to answer every wild-eyed accusation with real lawyers, who have to be paid. It's a sort of political war, with, so far, no consequences to the Republicans. Also, I would have been thrilled to see Mr. Obama pardon him, but that did not happen, and we don't know why.

(47,260 posts)about Obama. I look forward to the day when Seigelman can talk freely, though I think he has some powerful enemies who will do whatever they can to shut him up.
