(12,245 posts)Since I retired I cycle daily and feel really good. My only complaint is the skin, especially on my arms is sooooo thin. It doesn't take much to bruise or bleed. Too much Texas sun on this bald but formerly fair haired boy.

(60,867 posts)My job was eliminated late last year and as I predicted with this ass in office, I would never find another good job. I have spent nearly 9 months looking and get calls and even second interviews then nothing. I have interviewed for jobs that they even admitted my qualifications were exactly what they were looking for.
I honestly believe they look at the number of years experience as say he is too old even though that is actually illegal.

(80,708 posts)It's why any thread dealing with popular culture, cell phones, dirty words, Hubert Humphrey, children in restaurants, daylight savings time, technology, sex scenes on cable tv, or the technology in the remote you use to find the sex scenes on cable tv, is so much fun.

What a long strange trip it's been, and I still can't believe what is going on right now.
JMHO, but the resistance needs some leadership and I mean, ideally, someone or some group of persons who are not running for office, so that they will not sell out the movement or bend to compromise in order to achieve office.
I always thought that we could at least agree that "competence" was the base line. Every line has been erased and the Democrats had better embrace coloring outside the lines.

(8,168 posts)this is a very unscientific poll, so my suspicions may yet be confirmed. I'm six months younger than Paul McCartney, who can walk out on a stage and perform the hell out of several dozen songs for 2-1/4 hours at least. On the other hand, he probably has more gray hair than I do. It's all genetics. My mom lived until she was 97, and if we had ever gotten a real grip on arthritis, she'd still be with us. It was finally the discouragement of not being able to accomplish anything that got her.
