"SNIP............
Obamacare and Medicaid enjoy far more public support than the emerging Republican health care plan, according to a new poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation.
Republicans, including those in the Senate who will likely vote on their health care bill next week, have justified overhauling the 2010 health care law and Medicaid in part because they say the programs are unpopular and arent working.
But Americans seem to prefer the first two while being wary of the GOPs plan, the new Kaiser poll found.
A majority of Americans, 51 percent, have a favorable view of the Affordable Care Act, the laws highest mark ever in the seven-year tracking poll; 41 percent said they had an unfavorable view.

Good grief.

(5,544 posts)Support for the ACA hovered in the 40s but many of the polls failed to ask the obvious next question.
The polls who asked "why?"got a solid 10-15 percent who disapproved of the ACA because it did not go far enough.
Polls have always shown a majority support for the ACA or better.
Now that it is under threat, a lot of those people have come around to support the ACA as better than what the GOP would offer.
It was one of the major failures of the press that this was never discussed
