hwoever , these repug reps minds are already made up . as the gentleman said they are full of shaveing cream. long time ago, new york state took out all its public programs (healthcare etc) and found that it cost more to put them back in rather than leave them be.

That started changing in the 1960's, and I recall a lot of discussion then about whether or not there should be any for-profit hospitals. It wasn't that loud or strong a debate, and after a while just went away.

to have a bad cut sewn up. I think think the bill was like ten bucks. Even with over 60 years inflation, that's still only about $100.00 today. That was back when most hospitals and health care wasn't such a money making racket.

were given some medicine and general support and watched to see if they lived or died. If they lived, they were put on some medicine to mostly help relieve their symptoms and perhaps advised to move their bed downstairs.

As opposed to today, being taken in as necessary for electrocardiography, percutaneous coronary intervention and stent placement, and/or coronary artery bypass grafting via open-heart surgery. Then sent home with advice to modify their diet and get more exercise. With the expectation that they'd do it all over again should that become necessary.

Well done sir!

The only thing he left out is that the main reason that these greedy bastards are going after our healthcare is so that they can offer massive tax cuts to the very wealthy who DON'T NEED THEM! If that isn't cruel, I don't know what is.

for "security" for themselves. Hearing what people REALLY think of them and their policies is hurting their feelings. It's just so much easier to have people like this dragged out and tased a few times for good measure.

He's in a good place but recognizes the fragility of where he is. He also recognizes that he has more than many folks but it doesn't absolve him of helping in the effort to bring us all along with him. What a good man.

That's the sick and sad irony of this issue. If we all have access to affordable, quality health care...then magically WE ALL HAVE ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE, QUALITY HEALTH CARE! This should be a no brainer because a healthy population serves us all. So, when the party in power wants to keep access to affordable, quality health care for themselves and take it from the masses this should be a warning. We are dealing with sociopaths. They are cruel. They are untruthful and insincere, they have a lack of remorse and they do not feel shame. These people are dangerous and be warned: They will not learn from experience in these failures to pass their death legislation - they will keep trying. This isn't over.

Not sure if it will set in with the people who seem to think the repbulicans are trying to help them, though. Even the ones who understand these hardships and complained about the before seem to still support making it even harder on themselves. Then when that happens they blame the democrats or whoever.
