Everyday I say to myself, "If they were in my class I would ..." Too bad I can't help them through "conflict resolution and a class meeting or at least make them lose recess, give them a Time Out, write standards, send them to the principal, call their parents, etc.

They certainly need professional help in many areas.

chronological age. I've taught ages from 5 through community college, and some five years olds were more mature than some of the community college students as far as emotional intelligence, empathy, self-responsibility, etc. Quality of parenting or lack of has a lot to do with it and obviously so do life experiences.
