Google News is PATHETIC now. This is what I get when I search for

Yevgeniy Nikulin, the hacker who the US is trying to extradite from Prague:

https://news.google.com/news/search/section/q/Yevgeniy%20Nikulin/Yevgeniy%20Nikulin?hl=en&ned=us

Your search - "Yevgeniy Nikulin" - did not match any documents

I wanted to find out what the status was of the extradition case. A month ago a court approved his extradition both to the US and to Russia, with a decision still to be made as to where he would be sent. But I won't be able to find the answer through Google News.

Extradition is a slow process. What sort of news do you expect?

AND to Russia. So now someone will be deciding which country gets him. I was looking to see if there are any new reports indicating when that decision will be made.

If the case were in the US, I wouldn't expect a trial court to have the last say on an extradition.

On edit: oh, apparently he does...

Prague, June 1 (CTK) - Russian Yevgeniy Nikulin, who is facing hacking charges, will lodge a complaint against the Czech court decision that his extradition to Russia is admissible, Nikulin's defence counsel Martin Sadilek told journalists on Thursday.

When I selected that option, some articles came back.

But extradition cases can take months, so there may not be anything.

If you do a plain vanilla Google search and then click the "news" tab, it works fine.

I hate the new look, and it wouldn't shock me if they monkeyed also with the search algorithm. Yes, search google.com and then click the News tab. You'll get it that way. It sucks.
