For the life of me, I don't get this programming decision. Who, other than his mother, is going to watch this show?
Hewitt is a knee jerk Trump apologist. Does Andy Lack not understand the MSNBC audience?
They couldn't find more than 5 people to watch Greta. How do they think a hack like Hewitt is going to be successful.

(12,597 posts)stations. We all need to NOT watch any right-wing stuff on MSNBC, so they will get the message - Right wing= no ratings; left wing= high ratings.

(962 posts).... who know what the three branches of government are.
Hewitt and Gretta's tabloid politics style bold face lying or sophistry doesn't fit on that station.
MSNBC isn't going to grab FAUX new's audience ... that's not their grove

(15,805 posts)I lasted about 5 minutes, mostly because he let a 'panel' of two legit journalists do most talking, but then he started speaking it was nothing but the same old, stale, canned bullet points you can hear from every other Republican facing a camera. Boring. He wasn't even worth yelling at my poor TV screen.
I switched to a how-to youtube video about growing your own mung bean sprouts. Since I'm on a obsessive stirfry tangent, I'm really more interested in fresh, home grown bean sprouts than listening to a lame Republican flack like Hewitt.

(13,108 posts)In answer to your question.........Does Andy Lack not understand the MSNBC audience ?
They are trying to turn MSNBC into Fox 'News'.
If there is money to be made destroying the credibility of the media, so be it.
The director of CBS, Leslie Moonves stated during the election........
"It may not be good for America, but it's damn good for CBS."
Power, Greed, and Corruption are the kings in America.
There are very few people in positions of power that have integrity.

(5,810 posts)And yes, there is something odd about his face, not that any of us can do much about that. He looks rather reddish on camera and his mouth seems a bit bizarre, almost like a burn victim. Is it possible he has been burned in some manner? I am not offering ANY defense of the guy because he really pushes my buttons when he talks. Or spews is more like it. His attitude sucks canal water, as the youth used to say back in the day. Haughty is another word that comes to mind.
If he is depending on folks like me to keep his show on the air, he is barking up the wrong tree. Why would I intentionally watch something I know is going to get my blood pressure off the cuff? It was bad enough when he was one among several panelists. But his own show with HIS name on it? Forget it!
