Was I close?

(10,836 posts)several Republican leaders suggested the Trumpster lay off Twitter. For the sake of the Nation, the dignity of the Office of the Presidency, etc., etc. You know, reasonable stuff.
Like a spiteful child, DT can only throw a temper tantrum. His tweet storm is the answer to anyone suggesting he curb the insanity.
He needs to take Uncle Vicente's advice: Quit. Give it up. Not just Twitter but the job. You suck at it.
But, of course, Uncle Vicente is Mexican, so the advice will go unheeded. Maybe the box of toy soldiers and video games Uncle V is sending will amuse DT for a while. We shall see. However, we appear to be witnessing a meltdown in real time.
Good or bad, it's happening.

(205,625 posts)He showed one of those toy cell phones - for those 18 months and up. He suggested giving one of these to the mad tweeter, it would keep him happy and occupied and no one would have to see them. And there are no small parts that would constitute a choking hazard...

President Donald Trump is a fan of Twitter, and he loves to use his Twitter account to speak directly to his followers and America.
But since becoming president, Trump has come under fire for the way he uses his account. Prior to becoming president, it was normal for Trump to fire off tweets critical of the media or tweets that criticized people by name. Some believe Trumps tweets are evidence hes not fit for office, while others shrug them off because its normal for him.
. . .
The FAKE & FRAUDULENT NEWS MEDIA is working hard to convince Republicans and others I should not use social media but remember, I won the 2016 election with interviews, speeches and social media. I had to beat #FakeNews, and did. We will continue to WIN! Trump wrote.
I am thinking about changing the name #FakeNews CNN to #FraudNewsCNN! he added.

(4,192 posts)And voter suppression efforts by republicans along with all their success at gerrymandering the shit out of our states. So I do not trust even the electoral college vote tally either. Too much in our election system just stinks.

Claims will be made that the existing espionage laws
And Campaign Funding Rules
are archaic & outdated...
These Putin Puppets will try to convince their base
That:
the new Modern Day global relations structure renders the current espionage and conspiracy laws worthless...
&
Because
Modern Day WH communications include global social media platforms ...
Modern Day Presidential Elections should be permitted to engage in internationally coordinated campaign activities.
Just watch...
that last tweet about Modern Day Presidential
Is actually the FIRST tweet
Normalizing TYRANNY.....
and painting it as "Modern Day Presidential"
