5. Kennedy is not certain to win the Democratic primary in IL.

Pritzker has millions to throw at Rauner. The IL AFL-CIO has also endorsed him. That's huge and makes him the frontrunner.

I like Kennedy personally, but this will be a very tough Democratic primary.

6. You are off by a year.

The 2018 elections are in 2017 and the 2019 elections are in 2018. In AZ Ducey will easily be re-elected . In IL Kennedy will not survive the primary. JB Pritzker will win. The general will be up in the air.
