OK - DEM bashing time

Why is every Dem not on cable screaming about Kushner still having security clearance AND Ivanka being in the WH?

Cruz goes off on an ignorant rant and the media is asking questions related to the ignorant rant, Dems need to learn and go off on rants based upon substance and demand immediate Rebublican actions, thus putting them on the defensive.

What the Republicans did was horrible, but I felt the Democrats were almost as bad, the way most of them went along with it. Where was the opposition then? Where is it now?

I had told my granddaughters Democrats cared about people, Republicans about business. When we went into Iraq--and took the press with us--I realized there isn't that much difference between the two parties.

I was 10 when FDR died, still remember him. I don't have that many presidential elections left, would so like to see an FDR Democrat in the White House before I die.

.....In the wake of New York Times reports on Trump Jr. and other Trump campaign officials meeting with a Russian attorney who they believed had damaging information about Hillary Clinton, Kaine said the probe into obstruction of justice could evolve into something more serious.

"Nothing is proven yet, but we're now beyond obstruction of justice in terms of what's being investigated," Kaine said. "This is moving into perjury, false statements, and even into potentially treason."

Kaine was Clinton's running mate in the 2016 presidential election.

Kaine added, "To meet with an adversary to try to get information to hijack democracy. The investigation is now more than just obstruction of justice in investigation. It's more than just a perjury investigation. It's a treason investigation."

They all need to bash the shit out of the administration and if the media gives them an opening, bash the media.

Democrats are addressing this as they should. The media will never be our friend. Again, I do not know what MSM is saying. I stopped watching more than a decade ago because they do not have the same rules for Republicans they do for Democrats, 3 Republicans to every 1 Democrat with Sanders mostly being the Dem voice and blatant misrepresentation of fact.

It is easy to tell the Democratic Party what they must do when we watch for more than a decade the media making sure they do everything to prevent.

But, again, all this just happened and I do not know what is on MSM, only other sources.

The obnoxious schoolyard bully or the dozens of kids he taunts.

Dems are reactionary, but we like to think through the problem first, instead of immediately spewing vitriol. Repukes are the opposite. Which is the better response? From a media coverage standpoint, the repukes are in the lead. However, most of the time they appear childish. The only thing they achieve is getting their base a little riled up, but anyone who uses logic and critical thinking skills can see that they are going off half-cocked.

So back to that schoolyard bully. All eyes are on him for the moment... till he goes to the principal's office and gets expelled.

63 million Americans just voted for that obnoxious bully.

The majority of Republicans believe Obama is a Kenyan.

Almost 50% of Republicans believe California votes shouldn't count

Almost 50% of Republicans believe that Russia is an ally.

The principal ain't doing shit to the bully.

So you can sit back and "do the right thing" and by doing that, those who are reasoned and logical support you. The bully's friends taunt you and those in the middle don't see you as fighting for what is right so they continue to vacillate. Or you can try something different, like knocking the fucking shit out of the bully.

I continually scream at the computer monitor (rarely the TV since I can't stand actually hearing their voices). So I have to sit back and try to relax before I analyze the strategy. I'm glad that I'm not in congress because I could never hold back. You're right that it doesn't seem like the principal is on vacation in the Bahamas. But at this point, it's the American public that is acting as arbiter in this fight. We are in it to win people over to our side in the long run, not to create further division. Again, you can certainly question this strategy. I question it as well. All I'm saying is that I see the reasoning behind it.

This is not the time to be shouting about Jared and Ivanka. You don't change the subject when someone is immolating themselves. 1. If Democrats are not doing something, there may be a perfectly valid reason why they are not. Unlike us, they don't or can't (over-)react to every piece of news immediately- they are not omniscient beings and know what's happen every second of every day, let alone able to do something about "it" immediately. The wheels of justice turn slowly. In Congress, it's even slower, especially when the majority party goes "tribal" and refuses to be check and balance on other branches of our government.
2. Democrats may actually be doing *something* but since we're not seeing it live or it's "behind-the-scenes, we might not immediately know about it.
3. Democrats don't control Congress, so if the Republicans aren't doing anything about this, there's not too much that Democrats can do other than protest and try to call attention to things Trump/Republicans are doing. Many Democrats HAVE been outspoken about Donald Trump and the GOP's awful policy agenda.
4. If you feel that (fill in the blank) is worthy of the Democrats' time and attention, flood their offices and pressure them to do something about (fill in the blank).
5. If you feel that Democrats are not doing something that you think that they should be doing but not, support a primary candidate in the next election and/or run yourself against them.

You want members of various committees to call press conferences and disclose privileged information about the progress of their investigations before the time is right? What?

I agree with you by the way.

Although I understand the frustration because this does seem unprecedented. I wouldn't mind if the Democrats did what the GOPers are famous for - push 1 or 2 members into the spotlight and let them righteously rant and foam about treason, collusion, etc. That gives vent to voter frustration, and gives calmer, cooler Pelosi-heads a 'good cop' platform.

These are very strange times - even for our elected Reps
