(16,200 posts)Now that one of his brood is threatened, he'll pardon the whole bunch. Boom. Investigation over. Then all we can do is stand by and see if Ryan will lead or at least allow impeachment. I am not hopeful.
If you think for a minute Trump won't do this, give me one good reason. He has no morals, no scruples, and delights in overturning precedent and conventions, and spits on principles.

(587 posts)There is no pardon for high crimes and misdemeanors convictions because you're no longer the president. As with Nixon-Ford, Pence would be likely to blanket pardon Trump prior to any conviction.
