Telling us all how to be moral and stuff from the same regulation-killing folks who brought you the economic meltdown of 2008, the leveling of West, Texas, and the poisoning of Flint, Michigan. Thanks for your thoughts, boys. We'll be sure to give it all due consideration.

So now, remember. Destroying the world economy and poisoning water systems are OK. Discussing manspreading on a subway is not OK.

The GOP has irritating leaders. Their moralizing comes from their leaders. Yes, I do think our leaders could occasionally point out that people are occasionally overbearing in their points of view. That is difficult of course because often the underlying point is valid (certain diets are unhealthy, we do have a carbon problem, misogyny does exist) so one is stuck trying to differentiate between WHAT is said and HOW it is presented.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
