If he fires sessions now, it will look like Trump believes the Russian ambassador over Sessions, but what the intercepts are showing, according to reports, is that Sessions may have signaled to the Russians reasons to invest in Trump. That adds weight to the very theory of Russian interference that Trump has been denying. So by firing Sessions, Trump would make it look more likely that he is only president because of Russian involvement.
