(3,194 posts)He knows his legacy will be what he wants it to be. A Loyal Repub, who might be to the left of some in the party, but still FIRMLY within it.
The optimism in this place kills me. But I guess you got to do what it takes to ease your mind. At least for the next 18 hours. But his vote is as secure as a Harlem Globetrotters victory against the Generals.

(9,534 posts)My daughter had Obamcare when she was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor near her brain. Surgery saved her vision - they said 2 weeks later and she'd have gone blind.
I told McCain that and said God chose him to save people, not kill them.

(17,984 posts)Leading a dying man across the country so he can vote to kill millions is just about as sick of an act as I can think of. "If" he does it, then this needs to be hung around the entire GOP until the end of time.

(50,261 posts)I hope this might have occurred to John McCain, but I doubt it. The vote they will take today is the worst political malpractice in decades. No one knows what's in the bill and it's clear their mission is to destroy Obama's legacy and nothing more.
