I have been receiving emails from Kamala Harris, MoveOn, Indivisible, etc
since the senate vote. This is NOT over. Keep calling your reps. There are already major protests planned called "Our Lives On The Line" on Sat., July 29 (this weekend). If you google Individible you can see if there is one in your city or if you want to start one you can do it. Also, there are legislative rules that I am not familiar with but they have info explaining them and scripts too. This is for both blue and red states!
We must hold them accountable. Call and tell them to... VOTE AGAINST THE FINAL PASSAGE!
Repub senators: Vote against the "Final Passage" of their "mystery bill" and to uphold the rules (theByrd rule) by following the guidance of the Parliamentarian.
Dem senators: Be ready to offer as many amendments as possible to delay the final vote There is unlimited time to consider amendments. Also, tell them to "raise a point of order" against the provisions that the senate parliamentarian says breaks the rules (follow the Byrd rules).
They will probably vote Thurs night or Fri. Wed and Thur they will debate but it isn't a real debate since no one has really seen the bill and there is no complete CBO score. The bill hasn't been passed yet but this is what we can do...VOTE AGAINST THE FINAL PASSAGE before the weekend.
