Carter was reacting to the latest healthcare vote, where seven GOP senators helped defeat a straight repeal of the Affordable Care Act.
I think its perfectly fair, Carter said of Trumps Wednesday morning tweets berating Murkowski.
Let me tell you, somebody needs to go over there to that Senate and snatch a knot in their ass, Carter said. Im telling you, it has gotten to the point where how can you say I voted for this last year, but Im not going to vote for it this year.
The only thing thats changed is weve got a president who will actually sign that law now, unlike the previous presidentObamawho did not sign the law, Carter contined. So it baffles me to think that someone is not in favor of it.

(25,241 posts)I was not impressed. He was a joke then and he is a joke now. I don't know how guys like this get elected. He's a pharmacist by background and I question his pharmaceutical abilities. I heard him interviewed just before the House passed their version of the healthcare bill. He had no idea what he was talking about. He just spouted the talking points that were handed to him. When asked questions about the bill they ultimately passed - he had no clue as to how to answer them. He just danced through the interview with Repug talking points. As you can see - he's not one of my favorites.

(16,858 posts)"Snatch a knot", at least from my upbringing in rural TN, means..."Someone needs to beat their ass"....it's usually a term used in regards to children that are acting out in public, meant as a way of saying "Someone needs to set them straight".
The problem is, this dipshit doesn't seem to understand that the idea of beating a woman into submission isn't and shouldn't be tolerated. He's clearly viewing these female senators as children who need correcting. Fuck him and his ignorant backwoods colloquialisms

(18,638 posts)In March 2014, a controversy emerged regarding S.B. 408, a bill authored by Carter that would increase reimbursement rates for pharmacies in Georgia. As he is the owner of three pharmacies which would see increased profits as a result of the proposed action, his vote was considered by many to be in violation of the ethical guidelines of the State Senate. "Obviously, it's borderline," he admitted when questioned afterwards.[5]

(3,289 posts)that there are a whole lot of things that baffle you. On the other hand you seem to have figured out that taking away access to healthcare for millions of people to get tax cuts for rich donors is perfectly fine. Genius! I think not. More like a generic republican asshole.
