It's us behaviorists who pick up on those things.

It's mostly my daily petty -- it is a form of self-mutilation, and it can be problematic, but it's not necessarily a big thing. It's just part of the whole picture. She could have some metabolic or cardiac things going on that make her nails brittle, but it's something I'm trained to watch for, because it's sometimes easier to spot than other forms of self-harm.
