Too old, retired (so no job offer), might be able to qualify if I spend my entire retirement savings on an "investment".
I can see the value of a Nobel Prize - although these usually go to people towards the ends of their careers - but why are athletes given priority?

Interesting that my mother, an immigrant, would not qualify. She learned English, worked at a high-demand skilled job and eventually got a college degree after coming to America.
