(14,971 posts)and will bend over backwards to make theGOP look better. I told him off on Twitter once when he posted a series of Tweets on Trump's amazing ability to retain his base and do so well in the polls among Republican voters. It's unprecedented!Trump's just an amazing, magical unicorn! Not. A quick google search told me that Pew Polls has actually done research on presidential scandals and found that poll numbers don't drop significantly among members of the presidents party. Nixon had a 75% polling average among republican voters throughout his presidency and during the worst of Watergate it dropped to around 50%.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
