I've known for over a year who this person is in real life. While he kept attacking me time and again, I left it alone. We have friends in common. We are both invited to the same party tonight. I wonder if he will show after reading this? He spends a lot of time here on the DU.

Last November he shot his mouth off in public at an event that should not have been politicized. He was on a rant about Olberman donating a few thousand $'s to democratic candidates being an obvious ethics violation: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1110/44734.html

He then bragged about his extensive role on a conservative blog. Currently he has the highest number of posts on that blog. I was cheated out of the top award there yesterday. Long story.

Strange how the #1 DU troll lives in my city council district as I run for that office next year. This fall he mentioned me to a friend of his not realizing it would get back to me. We even get gas at the same station.

He once said "Omaha Steve doesn't realize he lives in a fish bowl" and proceeds to say some very nasty things (he thinks anonymously) about me. I wonder if I should consider revealing his real life info?

His nasty ultra-conservative friends would see over a dozen items on the net in his past he can't erase that scream closet liberal. It could be very embarrassing for him.

I think of the assholes over there. I never go there anymore as I refuse to give their site any hits. But I remember their hate, what they did to Andy Stephenson (which was just beyond despicable) and I am inspired to continue paying attention, working locally to elect candidates who bring progressive values to office.

Free Republic sometimes refers to DU, but does not have a special area devoted only to trashing DU and DUers. I think the thing was the specific dedication to attacking DU. Links to FR are usually just demonstrative of the stupidity of that site and to illustrate what that fringe group of right-wingers are doing. The other sites are something else completely, really.

...stuff about DU on freerepublic.com. If you google the user name and freerepublic, you will find links to his posts and his profile on FR. If it's not against the DU rules to post FR threads, I ought to be able to post link to the misfit's profile here, but I won't.

I would like to see Skinner sue the site in question for copyright infringement, considering the fact that volumes of DU content are stolen, straight up, and posted over there.
