They checked in before the rally and we're allowed to stand between the two groups! What the fuck?!

I read in the LA Times that the cops (I don't know if it was the National Guard or not) didn't intervene either! Figures...same thing happened at an Impeach Trump rally I attended in San Diego July 2nd. The cops just stood there and watched! An Alt-right group came 150 miles specifically to incite violence.
