A legal assistant who helped people in financial trouble get through their bankruptcies, Heather Heyer was beloved by family, co-workers, clients, and friends.
She died for taking a stand for racial justice and for love.
She died for all of us.
RIP, Heather.
Deepest condolences to family and friends.

Charlottesville Victim Heather Heyer Told People in Crisis: Its Going to Be OK
Before she was cut down by hate, she was helping people through bankruptcy. She had a big heart for people, her boss remembers.

For the last five years, she worked at Miller Law Group, a law firm that helps people going through bankruptcy. The firms president, Larry Miller, told The Daily Beast that Heyer had a gift for helping people facing financial disaster.
Shed hold their hand and make sure they would get the stuff in timely, that way we wouldnt have any issues, Miller said. She was really good that.
Heyer gathered and entered data for people filing for bankruptcy a complex process that required expert attention to detail. As part of that work, she often helped comfort people facing fear and uncertainty.

I don't live in that city. If I did, I would damn sure write her name in on a ballot slot. BlueDogs, pay attention please.

(109,390 posts)Threatening to write her name in instead of a Democrat who wasn't pure enough?
That would NOT honor her memory. At all.

(19,585 posts)She was an amazing young person with a future and convictions killed in her prime by a hatefilled racist, white supremacist, Nazi Trump supporter!
Trump needs to say her name and acknowledge his role in her families loss, and the future loss to society her death has caused.
Say her name, Trump. Say her name!
