Anyone else get the feeling this really is near the end for Trump?

He is FATALLY wounded.

His Tweeting of a train running over a CNN reporter after failing to condemn Nazis including a white supremacist who run over a crowd of people.

Talk of him pardoning a racist sheriff after failing to condemn Nazis and white supremacists.

The exodus of CEOs, including criticism from the CEO of the world's biggest private employer.

He can't help himself. He has no self-control. He listens to nobody. He is not a leader. He is infantile. He is demented. His approval is sinking fast. This is the worst week of his presidency. This story will run and run and more people are waking up to the fact that he has nothing to offer the people of America.

as well. But I don't know if he'll skate--maybe the investigators will focus almost exclusively on Trump.

"Mueller Time" can't come soon enough, and I hope it's not the disappointment that Fitzmas was.

And, technically, the line of succession continues with other Republicans, so taking Pence down will simply mean a delay, with regard to Solly's point about someone signing off on the Repub. agenda (another reason why the midterms are so important).

My point was just that they do NOT have to stick with Trump in order to get their agenda enacted. But they will continue to do so as long as they fear losing the base, being exposed as being entangled in all the Russian deals themselves, etc.

the only thing that will get him is an indictment for a criminal charge, IMO. He won't be impeached by Republicans.
The Cabinet will not invoke Section 4 of the 25th Amendment. He won't resign.

So what other option is there?

He can inflict so much damage in such a short period of time, that the end for him may not be soon enough for us.

I think he's closer to losing it than he has ever been. Our best hope is that he will have a complete mental breakdown or a physical breakdown and need to leave office for health reasons. I don't know what it's going to take for the republicans to start turning on him, but he drags them down more and more every day.

I do think that there are many roads that are converging towards some sort of a spectacular finale for Trump, but that might not be a good thing. We have multiple investigation yet to be concluded. Trump's tweets are increasingly unhinged causing him nothing but heartburn. Trump routinely bashes foreign leaders, both our opponents and allies alike, and that can't be ignored. Trump has threatened multiple countries with war and now nuclear annihilation, and that too, won't go unchallenged forever. Trump's lack of legislative accomplishments, the utter chaos of his entire administration and his failure to perform the most basic functions of government, will only get worse.

Something huge will break that will either take Trump down, or he will do something so outrageous that the country will struggle to right itself even as the incompetent GOP fumbles to explain it away. The question is which will happen first?
