George W. Bush summed up this presidency on day one

Last edited Tue Aug 15, 2017, 08:25 PM - Edit history (1)

"That was some weird shit"

Edited to correct phrase.

Can't believe I'm saying it but Bush after the inauguration speech gave what I think will go down as the historical caption to the dump presidency.

W was a dummy for sure, but no one ever doubted that he loved the United States and was honestly trying to do what he thought was best for it.

I don't think he was a dummy myself, his public statements were right out of the psychological operations play book plus he ramped up torture programs, expanded executive branch powers, expanded NSA capabilities gave tax cuts to the rich and when we were suffering deficits gave another tax break. Even though Saudi Arabia was the prime suspect (Wahabbism) for the 9/11 attacks he used those as an excuse to do all this shit go to war with Iraq. He set this country back. He signed TARP which lead to the Tea Party who misguided the anger toward President Obama I blame Bush for creating the current environment that led to Trump.

He gave away the treasury to private businesses, transferring taxpayer funds into the hands of private interests, particularly his buddies companies. He didn't give a fuck about the country except for making his friends rich. Saddam nationalized oil production which is why he wanted Iraq so bad, Now Exxon Mobile has contracts to the super giant oil fields in Southern Iraq "mission accomplished".
