Kelly told Trump what thew plan was going to be, and assured Trump it was his idea. Pence explained to Trump how this would help "turn the page" on the terrible past week, also convincing Trump that this was his idea.

It's curious: on one hand, I hope the generals can create a stable foundation for when Trump is removed, yet I recognize that since WW2, only one general has attained a "victory" in the numerous wars that followed.

Don't know too much about him. My uncle read and liked his autobiography. My sister was at the Department of the Army (she's DOJ now) and she helped edit his book.

I couldn't bring myself to read it. Have you read it?
