The fact that all of these hoaxes have emerged in recent months is not a coincidence; they are a reaction to the surge of media attention given to white supremacy, especially the alt right, in the wake of the 2016 election campaign. They are also a response to the willingness of many on the left in the United States to believe that the Trump administration is full of hardcore white supremacists...

...and here, they seem to give it credence:

Some white supremacists, particularly in California, may use a two-handed handsign in which one hand forms the letter "W" and the other hand forms the letter "P," to represent WP or "White Power."

..but I'm not in the mood to count the angels on the head of ADL's pin today on this site. I'm just going to delete and keep my opinion on this.

I agree it is an awkward hand motion of Trump's but I am not sure it is a WP gesture. Can you please expand on your thesis in light of this article?

Anti Defamation League says 'OK' hand sign not a white supremacist hate symbol

I think the symbol is ambiguous although Pepe the Frog uses it.

Is That Cute Kid Trump Met at the White House Today Making the Pepe Symbol?

I am curious to see how other DUers feel.

I...just...don't...know...

where you can then go on and flick your fingers. Easily done.
With whatever sign Trump, etc is making, you have to carefully place the tips together. There's more precision involved.
