Trump Divorces the GOP Congress

Trump Divorces the GOP Congress

Republicans need to think of Trump as a political independent.

A biographer says Donald Trump once told him that he informed second wife Marla Maples he was seeking a divorce by leaking it to the New York Post. President Trump now seems to be using Twitter to tell Republicans in Congress that he’s divorcing them, or at least seeking a trial separation, and for its own self-preservation the GOP Congress is going to have to find different living arrangements.

If you take about 50% voted Dem last election and the Republican party splits the Dem should win though.

Dems get a similar amount of votes and Trump and Kasich/Rubio split the Trump and Johnson vote from 2016. It might be an embarrassing third place for the GOP.

But, I think Trump will be down in the upper 20s by this time next year and who knows how low he can get?

.............simply supports him because he has an R after his name.

It would be a moot issue anyway. If he goes and pisses off the Republican Congress, guess who votes on whether to impeach him or not. So far, they've been protecting him because he's "one of their team." Guess what happens when he's not on their team anymore. The only thing he'll be running for in 2020 is "Best Act" at the prison talent show.

1) many if them, including most of the leadership, are Russia dirty, or otherwise, too.

2) They ALL depend on his mouth breathing base to get through a primary. Why do you think he is already going after people like flake who have spoken out against him? He is bullying them to let them know.

There is a 1 In 1,000,000 chance Rs in the Senate would vote for impeachment if it got to them, but it literally never will if the house is R, cause there is zero chance they will vote for articles.

That isn't even getting into how big assholes they are as republicans.

There are cracks already, with Collins, Murkowski, and McCain publicly voting against him. If all this backchatter is right, how most GOP Senators loathe him, this will happen.

republicans own him. He is their "family values" role model, and their ignoble Draft-Dodger-in-Chief.

Comrade Casino will forever be known as a traitorous KGOP republican a-hole wanker.
