It just hit me - more bad press for Romney

It appears that the rest of this week, at a minimum, will be focused on Bain and Romney tax returns.

In a couple of weeks the Olympics start so that will dominate the news. BUT and it is a large horse sized BUTT, the Romney's have their horse competing in Dressage.

NBC will have to cover it and Joe and Jane average Americans are going to do a collective WTF!

Her trainer did not campaign in Europe and she rarely placed in the US. Her qualifying ride was a fluke, so she wont medal. If Peters and Konyot score well, she may win a bronze team medal by remote

Loads of wealthy horsey types here. They strut around the grocery stores in their filthy riding boots, tracking horse shit all over the place, as if they own the joint. They all have this "I own horses. Be impressed with me" air about them. They don't even have the courtesy to change into street shoes, because lord knows riding breeches don't look as impressive when worn with sneakers. And, they're all Rombots, needless to say. I'm sure they'll all be cheering on Rafalca, and bragging that they know his rider.

There was a cheating scandal on his watch -- the figure skating rip-off of the Canadian pair due to a bribe to the French judge.

(And who knows what else.) Can you imagine if Mitt had any connection to THAT and gets thrown out of the Olympics !?

and doing his Vulture Capitalism thing via Bain in order to go help the scandal tarnished Olympics in Salt Lake.

But the IOC is like the mob -- they are the ones demanding and taking the bribes. Salt Lake's win of the 2002 games included sweetheart real estate deals for IOC members and allegedly prostitutes. When this stuff broke in Jan of 1999 two guys on the Salt Lake side of the deal resigned then Mitt came in to claim that everything was fine and all the problems were solved but there could be more there. It is quite the tangled web.

The Olympics is a terrible use of local taxpayers' money and has bankrupted a series of cities throughout the northern hemisphere. There is no fiscally responsible reason to host the Olympic games -- the host cities get NONE of the TV money or other revenue. Meanwhile the IOC will do anything for a buck -- Coke cans right now feature the Olympics logo and create the impression that world class athletes drink HFCS soft drinks. The IOC sold the exclusive right to sell french fries at the London games to McDonald's -- in culture which is killing itself with bad food choices this is deadly and amoral propaganda.

The scandals of the 2002 games are full of interesting twists and show a web of LDS, IOC, corporations and Romney but we are still on Bain for the next week or two...
