On international policy, that depends on how deep he is in with Putin. At least with Pence we won't have an accidental rage fueled launching of atomic bombs.

Having said that, what I am truly hoping is that Mueller takes down drumpf, Manafort, Flynn, Pence, Ryan, McConnell, drumpf boys & son-in-law included as traitors for collusion with Russia and obstruction of justice. That would leave us with Orrin Hatch and a totally weakened Repug party. Of course, that could also lead to an uprising by the deplorables, but hopefully most of them would stay home.

I'm sick of apologies to these religionists because their god may be offended. (It's more likely that they're offended, rather than a non-existent god.)

I agree about Pence; he wants a theocracy. Oh, he doesn't call it that, because he knows that sane people would recoil at the very idea. He'll bleat, sheeplike, about "bringing the country back to god," and "a Christian nation" etc. ad nauseum.

Point of fact: a "Christian nation" is by definition a theocracy. America is a nation with a lot of Christians in it, not a theocratic Christian nation.

and I doubt Pence would pass an opportunity to get rid of him and take the top spot. Sooner he goes, the sooner Pence could start defining his own presidency

Keep Trump around is a major liability for the GOP, who is having to defend congressional seats in traditionally red areas

As to reelection - pretty much everyone doubted he would win in the first place. I said he was a real threat to win the nomination the moment he came down the elevator and while I did not say he WOULD win, I said this country absolutely was stupid enough to elect him POTUS. And, the country is even more stupid each day.

Bush II wasn't going to win relection, either, then 9-11, and the Rs stangled this country with terrorism fear for 3 years to get him re-elected.

LOTS of time for some crazy thing to happen to enable him getting relected, and WHOEVER we nominate is going to get the Clinton, Kerry, Dean, Clinton treatment (and BHO, too, he just was THAT special).

As to the GOP - They have not given a shit about the general election in over a decade now. Their primary concern is the primaries, and sorry, but their crazy as base is all about 45. They might actually get to the point to chaffe a bit publically, but they are NOT going to "get rid of him" and risk the anger of their zombies.

That said ... Point stands, he isn't going to quit.

"empty suit" who is being patched in as a courtesy by tbe people who have some clue about what is going on and are making the decisions. It sure puts yesterday's tweets, which mixed glib hurricane rah-rahs with random spite and the truly bizarre promo for the sheriff's book, in the proper context. I am amazed the White House would put such a damaging photo out there, unless it is deliberate sabotage of his failed presidency.

On Edit:
It's the Daily Mail, and not the same article, but here they are arriving at CD.
