Dunno what speed, but with plenty of water, and South Ala. is in the predicted zone.

I've never heard of a hurricane making landfall 3 times...have you?

Never heard of that either - prepare and stay safe sis

I see water in one of the shelters in Port Arthur this morning. How do people cope?

And people wonder why their eyes are burning, why they have headaches, and why their throats are scratchy.

solar stills that do work in thin clouds, the water is likely to be contaminated with a lot of volatile chemicals from refineries and chemical plants (not to mention agriculture) that would end up in the distilled water. Capturing rainwater to distill would be better but still not good.

I've had to breathe in Houston during layovers. It's a challenge.

designed for 3rd world people so they can drink water that needs to be filtered of various bad things.
don't remember which bad things, but it was quite a few.
We have SO much nation wide experience with floods now, maybe time to think about inexpensive but effective water filters.
Would make a lot more sense than shipping truckloads of canned/bottled water to various places, which results in a mountain of trash from the empties.

Dunno...just a thought.

but for seriously contaminated water, I'd set at least 3 of them up in a row and Pasteurize the water from the third one to be certain before I let anyone drink it.
