Today's forcast in the City is sunny and 95, and that's a lot for a city know for its moderate temperatures. Stay cool, everyone.

(3,569 posts)I live in the first cut of the foothills and today is going to be brutal. 115 or so.
The SF heat, with nobody having air-conditioning, will be brutal. Even Santa Cruz and south coast will see record temps. I'd go to Fort Bragg. Looks like that area will be cool. Great drive too, and the car has air-conditioning too!.

(58,688 posts)We're keeping the lights off as long as possible and minimizing use of electronics. Fans are on and windows are open. I'm also taking the family out for dinner so we don't heat the place up further by cooking.

Can't wait to see some fog again! We live on the foggier side of town, and I prefer it that way. This sucks.

(14,526 posts)I am heading there in a few days. We have had 100+ degree days here more often than not. I was hoping for cooler weather. Oh well, 95 is cooler than 101, after all.

(63,221 posts)I remember my first year in SF and I was wearing a long winter coat in July. There was always that damp cold that just cut right through you. It might have only been 50 degrees, but it felt so much colder because of the dampness. But then again, I can remember wearing shorts in February. Very strange weather in that city. The fog was incredible. There were days when I could barely see five feet in front of me.
