Update: Hurricane Irma now a Category 3 storm

This guy says the "middle" option is most likely to happen- meaning it will hit somewhere on the East Coast of the US. He also said Irma will more than likely become a Cat 5 hurricane in the coming days.

It's a 2 right now but it's completing an EWRC. Wouldn't be at all to see a 4 as it moves over warmer water though.

Possibly through Wisconsin?

I've never heard of a hurricane going up that far. I remember once that a "hurricane" made it as far as SE Michigan, but it was nothing more than the usual late summer thunderstorm by that time.

Gobsmacking.

But a strong one, right at the Cat 3 threshold.

It will likely be upgraded with the next update since the ERWC is done now.
