We had a friend fly down from SF yesterday. She said the same about SF. "Where's the fog?"

Then her flight was delayed landing at LAX. Whereupon she observed, "Oh. There's the fog."

My sister is coming from Santa Clara in about a week. I hope she leaves that hot weather there.

And within about five miles of the Bay... inland is even worse, probably 115 or more...

Still, I like it here. I grew up in the Sunset of SF, where the sun was always set.

That's cooling off due the clouds.

Super weird weather. Strangely humid. Orange tinged sky. It rained yesterday, while the sun shone.

We are experiencing a tropical front, that I believe is associated with systems that caused Harvey.

High temps are not unusual in Los Angeles. Monsoonal weather is unusual.

It is hard to complain when there are people with homes under water.

15. Is it true that homes rarely have AC in SF?

I've heard that residents rarely need it because even when it's hot it cools down at night?

16. Yes, most of the city gets cool at night. This is also true of the various other bayside towns...

However it's 3 am here and the outdoor temp is still about 75. So it probably won't cool down enough to bring the inside of the house down to the low 70's by dawn.

because the monsoons fizzled again and it stayed HOT, even a mile up and well after dark.
