Countdown to Trump Un-Presidentialing himself in 3, 2, 1...

Come Tweet, press conference or rally you know the Potemkin facade of "Presidential Trump" never lasts more than a few days.

The only question is what he will say or do to remind people that he will never, ever change.

In a visit to one of Houston’s designated emergency refuge areas, the NRG Center, Trump told reporters he is seeing “a lot of happiness.”

“It’s been really nice,” he said, according to the traveling press pool. “It’s been a wonderful thing. As tough as this was, it’s been a wonderful thing, I think even for the country to watch it and for the world to watch. It’s been beautiful.”

The president also said of the children he visited who had been displaced by the storm, “They’re doing great.”

When asked about the devastating flooding still covering much of the region, he replied: “The flooding? Oh, yeah, yeah, there’s a lot of water, but it’s leaving pretty quickly. But there’s a lot of water, a lot of water, but it’s moving out.”

They're not just going to be able to go 'home' when the waters subside. He acts like they're on vacation and everything will go back to normal. He's clueless to what the long term effects are for millions down there.

Most of us never will, thankfully. His problem, he has no ability to be empathic. To even imagine the horror and trauma of losing everything you own. Of spending countless hours worrying what you will do to rebuild because you didn't have flood insurance. You don't have a rich daddy to come to your rescue. Dealing with the red tape of applying for federal assistance. Standing in long lines to get a hot meal. Trying to find gasoline or drinking water. The hits big and small just keep coming, day after day, week after week. This is going to be a long, difficult slog.

Even seeing things first hand. Meeting with and talking to the victims. None of it makes an impact because he is missing that part of compassion. It is not in him and he can't learn it. And apparently, he can't even pretend. Sad....
