By Jason Easley on Fri, Sep 1st, 2017 at 8:43 pm
White House aides admitted that the President Of The United States uses Fox News as his primary source of information, not the intelligence community.
The New York Times reported, Mr. Kelly cannot stop Mr. Trump from binge-watching Fox News, which aides describe as the presidents primary source of information gathering. But Mr. Trump does not have a web browser on his phone, and does not use a laptop, so he was dependent on aides like Stephen K. Bannon, his former chief strategist, to hand-deliver printouts of articles from conservative media outlets. Now Mr. Kelly has thinned out his package of printouts so much that Mr. Trump plaintively asked a friend recently where The Daily Caller and Breitbart were.
Trump doesnt use the information that his own government collects, but would rather trust a cable news channel that is infamous for its inaccurate reporting. Donald Trump is making policy decisions that impact the lives of millions of Americans based on what he sees on programs like Hannity and Fox and Friends. When Trump decided to try to ban Muslims, take away health care from tens of millions, and when he ends DACA, the guiding information source behind all of these decisions is what the nations first low information voter president sees on Fox News.
It is not a coincidence that with Trump reliant on Fox, the network has seen a ratings decline. The ideology being broadcast by Fox News has fallen out of favor with roughly two-thirds of the country. By allowing himself to be guided by Fox News, Trump is running his presidency straight into the ground.

(7,528 posts)He doesn't understand one can learn more by listening to critics than sycophants.
If he were smart, he'd take on the things the majority wants and turn his approval ratings around. We know he holds very little loyalty to anyone so this wouldn't be a huge problem for him. If he defected to the progressive side and made things better for the larger majority of people who want them, he'd go down in history as an amazing President who learned from his mistakes.
If he played out that one theory people had that he was a "stealth democrat", it would be amazing.
But THEN the Rs would impeach him.

(9,670 posts)Fox News will begin airing a disclaimer later this month, declaring that its programming is for entertainment purposes only, according to sources close to the cable channel.
Several individuals inside Fox Entertainment Group, Fox News Channels parent company, say the decision was made in order to shield the network from possible legal liabilities.
The disclaimer, which will start airing on the network by mid-April, will appear during program openings in small text at the bottom of the screen at the same time as the shows title.

(6,916 posts)Trump is an example of the brainwashed morons Fox creates. That's the goal of Murdoch and formerly Ailes - propagandize people. And now they have propagandized the president.
