I'd like to educate a jerk who posted this on my FB.
On Edit: It's a picture of Donald Trump flipping the viewer off, and it's braggin about his $1 million donation to Houston and then the names:
Hillary Clinton
Barack Obama
John McCain
Congressman Al Green
Maria Chappelle-Nadal
Maxine Waters
Al Sharpton
Robert Mueller
James Comey
Loretta Lynch
Jim Acosta
Don Lemon
Anderson Cooper
The Young Turks
Whoopi Goldberg
Michael Moore
Rachel Maddow
Kathy Griffin
Rosie O'Donnell
All with $0 by their names. I'm not expecting info on everyone of them, but some donations from some of the bigger names just to show if he's wrong about one, he's probably wrong about the others would be nice.

(53,031 posts)Not sure how much. There was a football player who raised 16 million. I don't know if he is liberal though.
I imagine a lot of them have. Most don't announce it on TV. That's tacky.

(20,174 posts)Tyler Perry also donated to him and Joel Osteen.
The football player is defensive end JJ Watt. He is from Wisconsin. I have no idea what his political views are. He started the fundraising with a $100K donation, hoping to raise another $100K. The fund is now over $16 Million.
And he can do this:

(45 posts)...you can guess how those turned out.
To be fair, as far as donating to veterans' causes goes, Trump did get around to making good on that, mailing cheques out months after he made the promise after being publicly shamed by reporters for no record of the donations having been made.
In any case, he doesn't have a great record of charitable giving:
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/crime/donald-trump-00013-man-0
"Alas, the Donald J. Trump Foundation has donated a paltry total of $475,624 over the past five years, according to these excerpts from the group's IRS returns for 1994-98. Compared to other business barons like Bill Gates and David Geffen, The Donald looks like a lousy penny-pincher. According to Forbes magazine, Trump is worth $1.6 billion--so his 1998 charity of $212,403 amounts to a whopping.00013 of his stash. Impressive, Donny."
From what information exists, I know Obama has donated a much larger portion of his wealth than Trump to charitable causes in general, although I don't have any information on his plans with respect to Hurricane Harvey in particular.
And then, of course, there was this:
