Trump's Gallup disapproval rating drops 3 pts, approval rises 2 pts. Amazing the political mileage

you can get just from picking up a little black girl and hugging her and planting a smooch on her cheek. Shouldn't be that way, but it is, I guess.

It's trends that matter. It'll always go up two points, down two points, up three points, down three points day-by-day.

Never fails. Besides, when word of DACA gets out, the sh*t will hit the fan again. Houston's love fest will be forgotten. Count on it.

His own worst enemy.

It is a simple rolling average. It jumps up and down all the time. Give it a few days and it will go down again.

Whoever's giving him the benefit of the doubt with these upticks is slow to learn that anything that makes him look even remotely competent will be followed by another wave of shitty 'policy' moves.

He's avoided a "Brownie you're doing a heckuva job" moment; Charlottesville is working its way out of the news cycle; and (giving the Devil his due) Kelly is working tirelessly to get message discipline installed and get the total morons (Bannon, Schiller, Gorka, et. al. ) out.

I think the next six weeks are going to tell the tale. He will either work with McConnell to get some version of tax reform & the budget passed (including raising the debt ceiling - which will mean some back room deal to cut back the wall), or the government will shut down. If that happens, it never ends well - and that will be the point at with Trump has outlived his usefulness to the GOP. They will develop a sudden interest in Russia and Trump's business dealings, and move to install Pence in hopes of salvaging the 2018 mid terms and the 2020 Presidential election.
