http://www.salon.com/2017/09/03/cleveland-police-plan-on-protesting-nfl-national-anthem-demonstrations-by-boycotting-anthem/The Cleveland Browns are taking a knee during the national anthem to protest racism.
The Cleveland police union is blaming the management for allowing this. And they are boycotting the pre-game national anthem.
Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia emphasized to the HuffPost that the police department is not organizing the boycott and that the union does not speak for the department.

The management is responsible for what players do, but the Police Department is not responsible for what cops do. Got it.

(73,239 posts)1. not really an issue an employee union should be concerned with. not a wage issue,
not an hours or pay or benefits issue, not a work safety issue. one wonders why the union is supporting such a complaint.

If it's really not all police officers, then let's get the head of the police Dept to the game. Otherwise these words are empty.
