The Cleveland Browns are taking a knee during the national anthem to protest racism.

The Cleveland police union is blaming the management for allowing this. And they are boycotting the pre-game national anthem.

Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia emphasized to the HuffPost that the police department is not organizing the boycott and that the union “does not speak for” the department.

The management is responsible for what players do, but the Police Department is not responsible for what cops do. Got it.
