Trump, his administration and his followers want DREAMers out of the country. They don't care where they go after that.

1940's-style Nazi roundups will come when they want to deal with the "problem" of NONWHITE AMERICAN CITIZENS. You can't deport Americans, but if they're not white and Christian, what to do about them?

That's where the Confederate Sessions' DOJ and the White-Supremacist law enforcement entities will help make the KKK dreams come true if left unchecked.

6. If this reminds you of the 1940s, it should. Look who's demanding the rounding up.

People in power with inferiority complexes and a deep-seated need to be mean to other people, preferably people they know of, but will never meet, never know, and whom they will never have to confront personally.

My mother-in-law, who will be 90 in 3 weeks, remembers these people all too well, because she lived among them as a girl. They knew her dad was listening to the British radio during the early forties, an offense that carried the death penalty, and threatened to turn hm in. Wisely, they never did, because he then spared them when the tables were turned after the war.

7. Problem is...they are also erasing history.

One has to admit that the Kochs and the Mercers and others of their ilk are good at long range planning, and organizing 30 some states, to change how education, among other things, is handled.
They know it takes only one generation of brain washing to completely change the direction of gov.
No more Nazi/holocaust history, no more science, no more publicly funded school districts, with those pesky parents wanting a say.

Our mother's generation is pretty much gone, as yours and mine will be in just a matter of few years, then they will have clean sweep unless our grandkids and esp. great grand kids are taught well.

Look how far they have gotten NOW....Nazis openly in the White House, STILL...Miller and his ilk...and a treacherous puppet in the Oval, with Russia openly bragging how they can affect elections.
I am not hearing half as much from the Dems as I need to hear.

8. Here in Europe, everyone is keeping a close eye on this.

In Germany, of course, we are especially sensitive to it.

In my town, the building that used to house the local Gestapo HQ during the Nazi era was turned into the Anne Frank Elementary School after the war. My two girls went there through the fourth grade (that's as high as elementary school goes here). They probably learned more about the Nazis and what happened to Anne Frank and people like her than is 99% of the elementary schools in the USA.

Trump and DeVos can try to erase the past temporarily if they want, but too much of the rest of the world won't forget. Unfortunately, there is precedent for this. Turkey still doesn't want to admit atrocities committed by Turks against the Armenians in 1915, and Japan hasn't always been eager to teach their children what their country did in China and Korea in the first half of the 20th century. For that matter, who knows what the attitude of the Germans would have been if we hadn't "helped" them jog their memories after the war. We were lucky to identify German leaders like Adenauer and Brandt after the war--men who were not afraid to confront their country's immediate past head on.
