Poor Donald. It seems as though everything he tries to do ends up as a clustersomething. He keeps trying, though. He really wants and needs to do something that will get some support from anyone other than the intelligence-challenged folks he calls his base. The chances, though, aren't looking good. Not good at all...
There's ending DACA. That will appeal to the knee-jerk xenophobes, of course, but he already has them. They're the same as his know-nothing base.
North Korea? What he really, really wants to do is turn that nation to glass and blow some shit up with all those nukes he controls. But that's not looking like anything but a dumb-ass move, either. As the only nation to ever use a nuclear weapon in wartime, such a dick move on America's part would probably not get the applause of the rest of the planet.
The response to Harvey wasn't all that beneficial to him, either. Loading two boxes into a pickup, along with a case of bottled water just wasn't enough, nor was telling victims to "have a good time." And now, it looks like Irma has its eyes on Florida or the Carolinas. The weather isn't looking good for The Donald, either.
Trump's Great Wall also appears to be a non-starter, with more and more Republicans in Congress pushing back to distance themselves from the orange-haired shitgibbon.
What to do? What to do? I have one idea for Donald Trump, though, that would earn him the respect of the nation and generate massive applause from all sides:
RESIGN NOW!

(16,104 posts)Trump again reminds us that Congress has to make the laws. Executive Orders and Memorandums of Understanding are transient and whimsical when we live in a bipolar political system.
Doing nothing makes Congress complicit in presidential actions - having a sociopathic megalomaniac in office might remind Congress just what their job is!
