George W. Bush killed the republican party, Trump is burying the corpse.

The Republican parties years of lies and propaganda has caught up to them. The party has broken into pieces. All that is left is the super rich assholes who are destroying our country, racists and complete idiots. The base. We have not begun to see the damage this freak show is going to do to our country. The pain has just begun. The Republican Party will not survive this disaster.

of the Federal Government. That doesn't really sound like the Republicans are dead. It's a nice thing to say and think about, but it does not appear to be true.

What would make it true would be a massive turnout of Democrats in 2018 and 2020. That could kill the Republican Party. Failing that, it's alive and well and destroying the possibility of that happening. Perhaps we should look at what we all can do to hurry things along.

That's why they have resourced in voter suppression and downright rigging. That's why they have resourced in downright lying and cheating. That's why they have resourced in stealing and have committed to downright evil wrapped in sheep clothing. Yeah they are in power, but look how they got there.

Is the USA finally waking up. I think so, but alas, we must control the right message. I think we can.

Yes, failure by the Trump administration will play a role, but it will take more than that to ensure a large enough win to regain control. For that, we need a massive Democratic voter turnout to overcome voter suppression, gerrymandering and other efforts to lower the impact of Democratic voters.

We can't just depend on the failure of Republicans. We must go out there and win every race we can possibly win, even those that will be very difficult to win.

We have to work. We have to generate enthusiasm. We have to show people how a Democratic win will benefit them.

It's not going to be easy. We've lost touch with Democratic voters. We need them to show up, so we need to get to work, starting right now.

I think this would be pertinent if elections and representation in the government wasn't a sham process, was credible, and was legitimate.

By reading the political history of this country, now I see why Dems held the house for 40 years. GOPers do not know how to govern.

Something has replaced the republican party. It's in pieces, that can't get anything done except things that destroy our way of life. Deregulation for example. They are just attacking government, government agencies, the constitution, our laws, immigrants etc.

It's no longer a party for all of the people. It has become something that is very dangerous. We will all find this out very soon. Mark my words.

When Trump goes down he is going to blame the republican party. He will blame everyone. Will the republican base vote for a moderate republican in 2020. I don't think so.

intend to mean the White House, House of Representatives, and Senate?

Or is the reference to the Executive branch (presidency), the Legislative branch (House and Senate), and the Judicial branch (US Supreme Court)?

The Gorsuch appointment was the most insulting of all. I loathe McConnell & if they take down Trump & leave McConnell/Ryan in place, we'll be back here again.

Look at the SCOTUS. We have three branches. The third branch is more independent, but can get stacked with people from one party over time. That is the situation now. We are in big trouble, frankly.
