S T R E S S

This is why I will never forgive the bastard in the White House.

It is rarely talked about, but I wonder how many Americans he is making physically ill by his antics.

Blood pressure issues, heart attacks, anger issues, victims of Trump induced violence.

I'm spending Labor Day wondering what the dreamers are going to do if they get deported.

So that guy? Fuck him. Fuck that guy sideways.

Having a big stroke November 30th. He will likely never work again. I have no doubt that electing that huge steaming pile of orange maggot shit played a part in the stroke.

you still have the stress of wondering. If you are on the ACA you don't have the same feeling of safety about it continuing. Likewise the DACA recipients - now they don't know if their current college/career is gonig to continue/work out in the end. Even if it does in the end, it's still up in the air somewhat.

Trump's M.O. is to spread chaos, fear, and anxiety, and we're all paying the price for it. Don't get me wrong, my family is relatively secure, and I'm well aware that my level of anxiety is nowhere near the levels being experienced by other groups (dreamers, other immigrants, non- straight folks, non-white folks, and many others). Still, that stress is there for sure. My wife and I don't sleep well, and we could sure use the mental health coverage/benefits that Scott Walker took away a couple years back.

Will he start a war to distract from his Russia problems? Yeah, probably. Will it be nuclear? Probably not, but could be. Is he an unstable bigoted motherfucker who will do anything he thinks will make him feel better? Definitely, yeah. So here we are.

What to do... I walk my faithful old dog, and talk all these things over with him. I find his responses most reassuring... he wags his tail, looks up at me with those big brown eyes, and trots along like the consistent friend he's always been. Find something like that.

Shalom.

The hummers and variety of other feathered buddies feeding take away the stress for periods of time.

But then, wham, the disturbing reality comes back in. Then it's repeat the healing beneficent stuff. Roller coaster.

We're seeking a steady even keel as when we had the magnificent and true President Barack Obama as our leader.

Peace be unto you as well.

meds have been increased. My doctor advised me to stop reading about tRump, but I told him it is impossible. He dislikes him, too. He had an "Remove Walker" (Wisconsin) bumper sticker on his car during that fiasco. Now my stomach is acting up. I hope my ulcer is not becoming active again. I LOATHE anything tRump, including his vile family of grifting "kids". Worst family EVER to inhabit the WH. Thanks gop I hope he taints your party for decades to come. I drink flavored milk kifir regularly and that makes my stomach fine. The taste is an acquired taste, it tastes a little sweeter than buttermilk, a little more sour and thicker than a yogurt shake. But it really works for me.

It's a toxic and damaging counter 'virtue'/quality that he brings.

Maybe there's a tiny something there in all of us and he just ignites that to start a conflagration.

I tell myself that he and they are not worth them making me sick.

Let it be on them.
Judgment be upon them.

with his voters. I have lost long-time friendships because of this election which will never be mended. I could almost forgive them if they would suddenly admit their eyes had been opened and they regret ever voting for him, but they still believe he is qualified. That, I cannot forgive.

When they have admitted to voting for Trump, I have told them that the thing that pisses me off with Republicans is that they pull stupid tricks like "W" and Trump and then the Democrats have to come in and bail the U.S. out of trouble. Happens all the time and I'm sick and tired of it.

Now, with North Korea in the picture, it's a whole new problem. It's bad enough we are still "warring" in the ME, but that little spot on the map is much more dangerous with nuclear capabilities in the making. Add to that two clashing egos and God only knows where we'll end up.

I have apologized to my grandkids and great-grandkids for the mess we've made. I don't have the power to make it all better.

I'm working on it. Streamlining some things, doing some more relaxation things, trying to eat better, etc.

I think my issue is probably very similar for a lot of people. When you actually care about people and you see some monster trying to hurt other people, it tends to keep you upset. Whether health care, DACA or North Korea, I don't want other people needlessly hurt. And I know full well that the asshole in the White House doesn't give a damn about ANYONE but himself. That's pretty much it in a nutshell for me. I want him out and out away where he can never hurt anyone again.

Had the worst fight of my 22 year marriage on election night and thought I would not stay married as a result. As election results came in, I slowly unraveled and my spouse told me that I just "needed to relax because I was overreacting". Sigh.

Therapy has helped channel my frustration and fear and I'm grateful for that. I joined DU the week before the election and all of you have been instrumental in me not losing my shit on a daily basis. I read about the experiences of my fellow DUers and I know I'm not crazy and I'm not alone.

And, wine helps...

...it is a definite negative health impact situation. I am literally distracted from my normal day-to-day activities because "Twitler just made my fucking head explode" -- again and again, almost every single excruciating day.

I'm pretty sure this is a non-healthy type of reaction to the fake preznit, along with his co-conspirators here and abroad, and his minions and enablers in the Puke Party.

I need this to end asap, if possible.

Thanks.
