Maggie Haberman and Glenn Thrush at the NYT have substantial access to the president. When the president wants a story in the NY Times, he calls Haberman and Thrush. (For example, here's Haberman's interview with Trump in July.)
Now those two reporters have published a positive spin on the terrible DACA decision. It's fair to ask -- are NY Times reporters trading access for favorable coverage?

President Trump is said to be sympathetic to the young undocumented immigrants protected under the program, but is trying to adhere to a core campaign promise. He may give Congress six months to legislate a solution.
Maybe it's just the NY Times headline writers, but also remember Haberman was a leading cheerleader bringing Hillary's emails into the news repeatedly.

She was incredibly defensive about the recent report damning the email coverage. Tried to spin it was just cable TV, which was bullshit. She knows she bears responsibility for that asshole being in the WH and is trying to tell us it's not so awful.
