I'm in a quandry. I use the Firefox browser and they're recently attached a video newscast to lt.

I didn't pay any attention to it until a couple of days ago when I clicked on the arrow and started the video.

It's a FOX newscast.

Horrible that FOX seems to be on in every mall, doctors' offices, restaurants, gyms — it's fucking omnipresent and now it's on browsers.

Wonder why Firefox agreed to this and how much FOX pays for it?

When you say "attached" what do you mean exactly? Where does it show up? On the page you're browsing? On a tool bar? On a drop down or popup?

You must have downloaded some malware that attached itself to the browser. A clean copy of Firefox should not have any videos attached, especially Fox news videos.

It's coming from some malware you loaded inadvertently.

Go to settings/options/general and check your homepage settings. Change them, if necessary, to whatever homepage you want.
You may have a malware that will reset ti over again after you put it back. In that case, find someone computer savy who can take care of it hands on for you.

My mother has this happen constantly, but she clicks on every bit of click bait she sees.
Be cautious about what you click on and you won't get infected that way.

Search.mynewswire.co (My News Wire New Tab) is a browser hijacker that is bundled with other free software that you download off of the Internet. When installed this browser hijacker it will set the homepage and search engine for your web browser to search.mynewswire.co.

Search.mynewswire.co browser hijacker is commonly bundled with other free programs that you download off of the Internet. Unfortunately, some free downloads do not adequately disclose that other software will also be installed and you may find that you have installed Search.mynewswire.co without your knowledge.

Maybe you need to look at your add ons and extensions and get rid of that one.

Or you could switch to Sea Monkey. I find it a little less intuitive than Firefox but it's open source.

Under "help" is "restart with add-ons disabled." That will tell you if that's where the problem is.

And yes, I've had dodgy sites install crap add ons. You need to keep them policed.

Open the menu on the top right and go to options to change it. If it reappears again perhaps there might be some malware at play, but there are several benign ways that became your homepage in the first place.

Several different people have told you that you have installed some malware which changed your search engine and/or home page. Instead of blaming Mozilla, maybe you should do two things:
1. be more careful when you install new programs and utilies on your computer
2. Get help with uninstalling thye malware.

The people at this computer help site can help you with number two.

1. Have anti-virus check for malware.
2. Look in the Firefox-options at the list of installed Add-ons if there's something Fox Newsy.
3. Clear browser-cache.
4. Delete cookies.
