DACA and the DREAM Act: What You Can Do to Help
The youth who’ve put themselves on the line to work or attend college in order to help their families, their communities, and their country—our country—need a loud cry of support. We are terribly disappointed in the administration’s decision to end DACA. The young people affected by this decision are our family, our friends, our co-workers and our neighbors. Our communities need their talent, courage, spirit and work ethic just as much as they need our support.
Tell Congress and the administration why we need the DREAM Act, why we need to protect young people who were brought here as children, who work, study and dream among us. It’s the right thing to do. Please join us in supporting them, and demanding a dose of humanity and common sense from Congress and this administration. Here’s what you can do to help.
1.Call your Senators and Representatives. Tell them: “I support children, I support families, and I support healthy communities. And I stand against fear and hate. If you share these fundamental values, work together to maintain DACA and pass the DREAM Act.” And be sure to tell them your name, city, state and zip code.

2.Tell family, friends and neighbors and your local newspaper that you support DACA and the DREAM Act—and ask them to do the same. Take a neighbor for coffee. Make a call. Write an op-ed. Join a local effort organized by the youth protected by DREAMers. Share information however you can—pick up the phone, pay a visit, use social media, including #DefendDACA #DREAMAct #IStandWithDREAMERS
