Mistakes were made on both sides. We have bigger fish to fry than all this bullshit infighting. It's just what the republicans want us to do. Let it go!

people need to learn that they do has CONSEQUENCES
THE MEDIA NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THIS TOO

(4,558 posts)I'd be a hell of a lot more inclined to agree if I saw more open discussion, listening, and learning.
Perhaps you can point me to one of the discussions where there's honest dialog with people listening to each other? All I've seen so far is more pissing contests, backhanded swipes at each other with carefully crafted responses to avoid getting hides, and closed minded insults..
To be fair, there have been a few thought provoking posts mixed in, but having to sift through the mess of muck to find those gems tends to be tedious.

(2,520 posts)the responses were split about halfway between rabid attacks and reasonable discussion. I'd call that moderately successful I suppose.

(3,539 posts)the media does what their told to do. They are now just entertianment shows. The time of truly news shows that give you actual facts are dead and gone.

(22,023 posts)The real target of your point should be the 60+ million who voted for Trump. The Democratic Party has always thrived by its diversity and we need more voices, not less.
Your observation about the media is rather pointless. News outlets have become profit-oriented businesses who must respond to quarterly reports to their stock holders. Sorry, but they aren't going to change their business model because you wrote your opinion in capital letters.
I've read your posts for years, Skittles, and I've nearly always been impressed by your points of view. Bashing Democrats seems to me to be a losing strategy going forward.

and WHAT DEMOCRAT is being bashed???

(17,295 posts)makes this a timely issue again. Some OPs on the topic have avoided retrying the primaries but others delve into the contents of the book (sometimes served with a strong dose of opinion). It's a timely issue once again due to statements from "What Happened?" Makes it a tough call when the DU rule on not refighting the primaries has to be enforced.

(905 posts)hear them, it says more about you than about them. I seldom like to hear, though I will listen, a point of view that differs from my own. Especially when in my own mind I accept the truth of the opposition.

(34,195 posts)I agree.
And everytime I say let's focus on 2018 and 2020 I get attacked.
Like a dog gnawing on a bone,
some won't let go of 2016.

(82,383 posts)This fight is still going on. We are worried about 2018 and 2020. Republicans winning because Democrats won't stick together long enough to win seats.

(6,797 posts)we don't agree with. No one is perfect so we've got to stick together. Pick one candidate and campaign your ass off.

(34,165 posts)...and primary warriors will hide behind "her book is a current issue".
Her book may have a hundred important things to say, but her Bernie Blame that has already taken over this forum.
I really have to wonder about the pundits who focus on this one issue.

(34,165 posts)Bernie's roll in the 2016 GE has been discussed thoroughly since Nov 9 along with many other issues.
I don't think anyone has ignored it or fears it. Who fears discussing it?

(40,416 posts)I keep alerting them, but it doesn't do any damned good.
Some people here seem to be stuck in a time warp.
Playing blame games is useless at this point. Utterly useless.
We have 2018 GOP fish to fry, and Drumpf is self-destructing before our very eyes. His cabinet is in shambles and Mueller is on the hunt.
It is time to stop the childish bullshit and get with the program of opposing the GOP and their minions. Democrats and their followers are not the enemy.
