DACA to be used for tax cuts?

Why did Trump/the admin. repeal DACA now? At this time? When dreamers are rescuing Harvey victims, and one died while doing so? Why at this moment?

Tax cuts. The tax cut bill is fleshed out. It "dreams" of taxing the middle class out the wazoo...including their 401K plans, the lifeline to their senior years. How to get votes from the Dems to pass the tax cut bill, which steals from the working and middle class to give to the upper class and wealthy? Enter DACA.

They need just a few Dem votes to pass the tax cuts. If they put DACA on the plate, they WILL get Dem votes at the tax cut table.

Possible? Likely? I'm being too cynical?

For example.....

Codify DACA with a long probation period path to citizenship

Replace Obamacare

Medicare starting at 58

Tax 401K before 68

Limit Presidental pardon power

Funding infrastructure projects in key states including the wall

Guns

I can't see them agreeing to THAT many things. The Republicans simply won't go for Medicare @ 58. They won't.

The Dems are more likely to bend, I think. More likely to compromise. If they compromise too much, they'll lose THEIR base.

That's why I thought it might be just two issues...the tax cuts are the #1 thing the Republicans want. The reason they kiss Trump's a__. They might just give DACA to the Dems, in exhange for the Holy Grail (money in the form of tax cuts). Esp since some Republicans are okay with the Dream bill, anyway.

They all might agree to limit the Presidential pardon power, but if that's not done this year, it may be too late to help with the Trump issue. Looks like Trump may be issuing pardons by the end of this year.

They need to offer something really huge like Medicare for all to get Dems to listen. And even then the argument would have to be about how it could be paid for with deep tax cuts on the table.

According to Kamala Harris on Lawrence's show last night, the existence of the Dreamers feeds the economy and tax coffers greatly because they're achievers.

This one is going to be very tricky. Given how the Republicans tend to overreach, they could even shoot themselves in the foot during this showdown. My small bet is on the Republicans ignoring immigration reform and Trump going back on his decision or extending the time indefinitely when the 6 months are up.

They only need a few to go along. And you have some from some pretty deep red states right now like McCaskil and Manchin that may feel pressured to jump onto a bill if it's crafted right.

I don't believe that the R's are capable of it. Their greed moves them to overreach time and again. And when they don't get what they want they point the blaming finger to the left and their base buys it.

We could be so f'd.

they will be part of different legislation. And the Dems are not going to help the GOP deconstruct.
No Dem will vote for an increase on middle class taxes. Not one.

and may succeed in fucking the country with a massive tax cut for the rich that also hits the middle class.
I just don't think they will get any Dem help to do it.
